It's winter time in Salt Lake City... and I'm freezing!
I'm back home for a few weeks, and I'm surprised at how hard it is to adjust to the cold weather! I believe I have become "Warm Weather Wussified". No matter what I do, I cannot warm up. I'm sleeping in long sleeved pajamas and wearing socks to bed... which is something I never do. I've got an extra comforter on the bed at night and I'm drinking hot coffee like it's going out of style.
I've only been in Texas for a little over two years, but I guess my body forgot what winter feels like. San Antonio is a beautiful 70 degrees today. While I loathe the hot summers, I have enjoyed the spring-like winter weather. In South Texas, you can wear sandals, tank tops and shorts almost all year. Coats, gloves, and hats are rarely needed. When I pulled my winter coat out from the back of my closet for my trip back home, it had dust on it!
I'm also noticing some other winter-related problems that were never an issue when I was a Utah girl... dry (itchy) skin, staticky hair, and I'm constantly being shocked by metal objects. Mr. Duh used to complain about these things all the time when we lived here, but I never noticed. It's funny what a change of climate can do!
Mr. Duh should be getting orders in a year or so, and I'm praying to be stationed somewhere with four distinct seasons (or Hawaii). While my winter visit is making me a little uncomfortable, I can't handle any more blistering hot summers! I guess I'll have to go with the flow and wait to see Air Force sends us....

I'm definitely a four seasons kind of girl, but that may be because I can't stand humidity and we're so lucky to rarely have humid days here. :) Glad you're back in Utah for a bit. Have fun!
HA! Love this post! This is how I feel! I've grown up in souther cali and Arizona all my life, and now PCS-ing to Hawaii. I have no idea what "weather" is like!
It's okay to bundle up, I say embrace it while you can! At least you can take the heat :)
It is so cold here and yet not near as much snow as usual.. crazy Utah :)
Definitely a 4 seasons kind of girl. I have hobbies for every season, and I don't know what I would do without each of them!
