My grades came in for the fourth semester of my Master's program... 4.0!!! Needless to say, I'm over the moon about my GPA and I can't believe I've managed to maintain a 4.0 through all four semesters! I never got a 4.0 while getting my Bachelor's degree, and never imagined I could get it during graduate school... so I'm feeling pretty proud of myself!
I'm currently doing a dual Master's program. I'll be getting my Masters in Organizational Leadership and Masters in Business Administration , and I have just completed the Leadership portion of the dual program. Leadership is very interesting, but it's mostly all theory with little practical application. The MBA side is going to be a whole new story, and I have to admit that I'm feeling nervous.
Next semester, I start with what's called "MBA Bootcamp". My Bachelors is in Forensic Investigation, and I didn't take a single business course for that degree. This bootcamp is a way for the University to catch me up on all those business degree basics I missed out on, such as Economics, Finance, and Accounting. So, I have to self study all of these business subjects for a semester to get ready for all the real MBA classes. I'm not very business-minded, and I hope I can make the cut!
The fact that I'm even in graduate school still fascinates me. I remember what a struggle it was to get my Bachelor's degree, and how it felt like I would never get there. It took me ten years to get my degree, and I never thought I'd achieve anything beyond that. Now, I'm on track to have two Master's degree's by the time I'm 32! I can't help but smile when I think about that! In terms of education, I am exceeding the expectations that everyone (including myself) had for me. What a great feeling!
Well, wish me luck as I move into this Business program... I know I'm going to need it!
